Everything you need to know about our studio policies, class guidelines, and membership terms across all Speir Pilates locations.
01 — Classes
To ensure safety and a smooth class experience, you must arrive no later than 5 minutes after the scheduled start time for all group classes — including group reformer classes, Trio classes, and circuit classes. Late clients will not be admitted to avoid disruption and to protect the safety and enjoyment of everyone in class.
Late arrivals are treated as a no-show. Your spot may be given to someone on the waitlist or a walk-in, and the no-show penalty detailed below will apply.
We strongly encourage booking in advance — classes fill up quickly. You can reserve your spot through your online account, the Speir Pilates app, or by calling the studio during business hours.
You are solely responsible for booking and canceling your own classes. Membership class credits do not roll over to the next month if unused. Classes, instructors, memberships, and pricing are subject to change without notice.
If a class is full, you may join the waitlist. Up to 12 hours before class, the system or Speir team will automatically add waitlisted clients as spots open. Within the 12-hour window, you will not be added without direct confirmation from you.
If you are moved from the waitlist into class, the full cancellation and no-show policy applies. You are solely responsible for monitoring your waitlist bookings. We cannot move clients into fully booked classes.
Grip socks are required for all Speir workouts — no bare feet or regular shoes on the reformer. If you don't have a pair, you can purchase them at the studio.
There is no strict dress code but we recommend comfortable, form-fitting athletic wear. Fitted clothing allows your instructor to see your alignment and give you better form cues during class.
The minimum age for group classes is 18. Clients under 18 may attend with a parent or guardian who is present for the entire class. A signed minor waiver from the parent or guardian is required prior to participation.
For your safety, phones and personal recording devices are prohibited on or near the equipment during class. If you need to take a call, please step outside. Keep all personal devices with your belongings.
No audio or visual recording of Speir classes is permitted at any time. Photos and videos may only be taken before or after class.
Pets are not permitted inside the studio. Please leave your furry friends at home or outside.
02 — Cancellation & Fees
You may cancel a group reformer class, Trio class, or circuit class without penalty up to 12 hours before the start time. To cancel, use your mobile app, online account, or call the studio during business hours.
Cancellations via Instagram, social media, voicemail, or text will not be accepted and the late cancel penalty will apply.
The following policies apply to all group classes, including Group Reformer, Trio, and Circuit classes.
Credit Holders, Express, Standard & Premier Members
Elite Members
If no valid payment method is on file, your class credit may be forfeited in lieu of a cash fee. If a fee is assessed and no valid payment method is on file, your payment method will be automatically charged once updated.
Unused class credits do not roll over at the end of the month.
If you book or waitlist multiple classes and do not cancel within the bounds of the cancellation policy, late cancel and no-show fees apply. Speir Pilates staff cannot be held responsible for accidental bookings, unused classes, double bookings, or double waitlisted classes made by members.
If you do not have a working card on file, your auto-debit contract will be suspended upon the subsequent month's renewal unless the card is updated. Late cancel and no-show fees apply to all clients equally regardless of membership level.
We do not accept cash payments at any Speir Pilates location. All purchases, membership payments, late cancel fees, no-show fees, and freeze fees must be paid by credit card or debit card on file. A valid payment method must be kept on file at all times.
All sales are final. We do not issue cash refunds under any circumstances. All purchases — including memberships, class packs, private sessions, retail, and workshops — are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable.
In limited circumstances where a studio billing or processing error has occurred, or where a class is cancelled by the studio, Speir Pilates may issue an account credit at its sole discretion.
The following are not eligible for refund or credit under any circumstances:
03 — Membership
All sales are final, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable. Memberships are billed in advance on the activation date and auto-charged each subsequent month. Memberships cannot be shared between members. A current credit card must be kept on file at all times.
Speir Pilates does not accept cash payments. If a payment fails, your account will be suspended after 5 days until payment is updated and dues are settled.
By enrolling in an auto-debit contract, you authorize Speir Pilates to automatically charge your debit or credit card on file on a recurring basis for monthly membership payments on the billing due date. You acknowledge that:
To cancel your membership, submit written notice by email to memberships@speirpilates.com at least 7 calendar days before your next billing date. If you cancel within the 7-day window, you will be charged for the next billing cycle.
Cancellation takes effect the month following your notice. For example, if your billing date is the 15th, you must notify us by the 8th to avoid being charged for the next month. Any outstanding payments must be settled in full before cancellation is processed.
A membership may also be cancelled prospectively — not retroactively — in the event of the member's death or disability, with proper documentation.
Members with a monthly membership may freeze their account once per year for up to three months, in one-month increments. A $25 monthly freeze fee may be charged in lieu of your regular membership payment.
To request a freeze, email memberships@speirpilates.com at least 7 business days before the desired start date. Include the start date, reason, and reactivation date. Insufficient notice may result in delayed billing adjustments. Regular billing resumes automatically after the freeze period ends.
The following memberships have been permanently eliminated: Basic Unlimited and Ultimate Unlimited. These memberships cannot be extended, transferred, refunded, shared, or frozen. Speir Pilates reserves the right to change, adjust, eliminate, and expire memberships at any time.
By placing a card on file, the cardholder and account holder give permission to Speir Pilates and its authorized personnel to charge the card for any auto-charge memberships, late cancel fees, no-show fees, and freeze fees in accordance with Speir Pilates policies.
All retail and merchandise sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns on physical products purchased in-studio or through our online shop.
04 — Private & Semi-Personal Training
Private and personal training sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within the 24-hour window — or no-shows — will result in forfeiture of the session credit. No cash fee is charged.
Private and personal training session purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Semi-personal training sessions involve multiple participants sharing a session. The following policies apply to all participants:
Semi-personal training session purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Trio classes are scheduled group classes for small groups and are subject to the standard 12-hour group class cancellation policy. Trio classes are distinct from semi-personal training sessions and are not subject to the semi-personal training session policy above.
Workshop and special event purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased. If a workshop or event is cancelled by Speir Pilates, you will receive a full account credit.
05 — Studio
Speir Pilates prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of all members and staff. We will not tolerate unreasonable, threatening, obscene, harassing, or illegal behavior. Members who violate our rules or misuse equipment may be asked to leave. Speir Pilates reserves the right to terminate memberships without a refund for unacceptable behavior.
You agree to conduct yourself in a controlled and reasonable manner at all times toward Speir personnel, clients, and guests, and in accordance with all safety and operating protocols. Members are responsible for paying for any damage to Speir Pilates property caused by their conduct, their guests, or their dependent children.
