This workshop will give you a strong foundation when working with pregnant and postpartum clients. While the body is complex and each person brings their own unique experience to working out, there are general guidelines you can follow when working with this demographic.

  • Basic anatomy as it relates to pre/postnatal clients
  • Proper breath and the pressure system
  • Ways to create a safe and effective program for clients with diastasis recti
  • Specific exercise recommendations and a timeline for both pregnant and postpartum clients

Learn the ins and outs of how to creatively format a safe, all-level group class that keeps the integrity of Pilates but infuses an athletic, contemporary approach. Learn exercises that play with props, planes of movement, advancements and modifications, with guidance on when and how you would apply for a seamless flow in your class or private session!

The Jumpboard is a Pilates accessory that offers the ability to add in plyometric style exercises and movement with minimal impact on the joints. There are a variety of movements you can do with the jumpboard that can help to strengthen your muscles and even add some cardio into your workout. In this 3-hour workshop you’ll learn the benefits, proper form, technique, and programming using the jumpboard.
